Miracle after miracle fr
(Sorry for the long email but I just have to explain how amazing this week was!!!
)
First off, JEAN GOT BAPTIZED YESTERDAY!!
WAHOOOOOO
One of the more spiritual filled baptisms I've had probably!
He had had a baptism date 10 times before that but it just never felt right for him
We continued to push him and when he had his interview, the Elder who interviewed him got so many questions and concerns he had answered!!
Ones we didn't even know he had
When we showed up to church yesterday the AC was broken
so we were scared people wouldn't stay for the baptism
to support him but we just took the sacrament and headed into the room where the baptism was taking place and it was PACKED
We kept having to bring in more chairs!
It was definitely pushing 100⁰ in there since outside was about 120⁰ but it was so amazing to experience
Some members bore their testimonies and Jean got to bare his testimony too!! He talked about how he's never felt this way before and how life changing it is for him I love to see the spiritual AND physical change that takes place when someone is baptized
and has that conversion to the Lord!!

Second, there was a time in my second transfer here that I ignored the prompting I had to talk to someone and I ignored it
I still regret it!
After that, I told myself I would never ignore the Holy Ghost telling me where to go And it has changed me!!
On Wednesday there was a really big fire near us 
(there's like 10 here now...) and we were close to it so we decided to go up to see the flames and stuff and on our way there was a man sitting at a bus stop and I have never had the spirit YELL at me like that before telling me to turn around We did and it was kinda hard to turn around but we talked to him!! We told him we had a gift for him and we gave him a Book of Mormon. He lit up!! We also has a couple dollars we gave him so we could get on the bus as well as some water
We prayed with him and just told him how much God loves him and he just couldn't stop crying! (Also, they were able to get the fire out)

Another man we saw on the side of the road with his head in his arms and we turned around and just told him how much people care about him. He has a crazy rough life 
and is in a really bad situation right now as well
We were able to charge his phone for him too and to give him a Book of Mormon and explain how earth life is just a small part of his plan!

We drove home from a lesson, which the power went out at,
and Sister Sterrett completely soaked her foot in water
trying to get to the car!! The streets were absolutely flooded
and we were driving in a foot of rain!
It was crazy. But so good cause of all the fires here!

A couple amazing highlights of the week is that I GOT TO SEE SISTER HOLT!

I also got to see some of my fav members in Temecula this week!! It was so nice and I hope every day that I go back there

Since my mission, I have grown such a great love for the concept of eternal families! I am so grateful for them and their sacrifice for me to be here too!
As well as my amazing friends who are family to me too!! I continue to get emails that just help me get through each day on my mission

KEVIN DUKE!! Each email I get from him makes me smile and helps me to feel the spirit as well as we grateful for the things I have. This last email I was sent talked a lot about service. Service is probably one of my favorite things that Christ emphasizes cause his who life was service!! There are so many different ways we can serve people and one way us even just to be an example of Jesus Christ. SO SERVE SOMEONE THIS WEEK! It's so important to us and to Heavenly Father.
