Week 33: MEETING ELDER BEDNAR🤝

HEY YALL  

As you can tell from the title, we had Elder Bednar come to our mission on Saturday! Possibly one of the best experiences ever. He was so cool as so real! We basically had a whole conversation w him for 3 hours and I got to talk to him about the concept of faith! He talked about how it's a principle of action! If you are not doing things, how would you have faith? He also mentioned that faith is a gift. It's something that we talk about so much as missionaries but you can't ever teach someone to have faith. It's such a simple word with a complex meaning! 

He also asked us to not write everything down and to limit notes so I took like none! It was so nice though cause then we were able to focus on what he was saying more. But, not only did we get to see Elder Bednar, I ran into my cousin Nicole!! 

So many people afterwards told me that hug wasn't just a hug from a member and they didn't know who it was But once I explained it, they understood lol! Aaaaaand I got to see all the missionaries! So basically all my fav people ever!! Woot woot! 

Anyways, this week went by so fast! We were doing lesson after lesson and it was so nice. I picked up a chicken and read it the Book of Mormon (casually) and fed a cat a hot dog!!   

We also met all our goals!!! If you're a missionary, you know that's the best thing ever. We haven't hit our goals in a long time cause we've been doing a "plus one" thing lately and so we add one to all our goals which, lemme tell ya, it can be hard! But GOD IS SO GOOD and we got it! 

We also proved some members wrong when they kept asking for the elders to move furniture and we kept telling them we could do it but they didn't believe in us. BUT WE GOT IT. We moved 4 like big recliner chairs up the stairs to our friends apartment and a table that was actually insanely heavy but we're buff   so, unsurprisingly, we moved it all! 

 Lately, we've been talking about God's creations a lot more than usual, one scripture that I absolutely love to share is Alma 30:44 "But Alma said unto him: Thou hast had signs enough; will ye tempt your God? Will ye say, Show unto me a sign, when ye have the testimony of all these thy brethren, and also all the holy prophets? The scriptures are laid before thee, yea, and all things denote there is a God; yea, even the earth, and all things that are upon the face of it, yea, and its motion, yea, and also all the planets which move in their regular form do witness that there is a Supreme Creator." 

It's so awesome because why would you need proof that there is a God when you can just look around you!! He truly is in the details of the details. He knows! Trust in him:) 

Speaking of God's Creations. Not sure what's up w me and picking up animals but here's a chicken, a cat, and a snail.
