Kinda a long week but ITS OFFICIALLY THE CHRISTMAS SEASON!!!
My view while it was snowing at home
So excited to be a missionary for Christmas because what better time is there than this time to talk to people about Jesus?? Its funny cause so many people think we're crazy for leaving our families for so long soley so we can help other people learn more about Jesus Christ and it also makes them want to talk to us!
Speaking of, our friends!! People have asked me who our friends are and they are our Investigators but we call them our friends now! So we have two that I want to talk about: DeAndre (who called us last Sunday asking if he could come to church) and Manuel!
DeAndre is so cool! We had a lesson with him every single day this week mostly on the phone but also in person. He lives in Beaumont which isn't in our mission at all but insist he comes to Hemet for church. He asked us if we drink and we told him no we don't and kinda told him why we don't and he kept asking since he does if God is mad at him and if he's sinning so we talked about how we can repent! His next comment was "Wow I'm gonna go repent now. I wanna glow like y'all" like what?? He's so cool.
Manuel I talked about a couple weeks ago but everyone pray for him to get to church!!! He has an amazing testimony and the spirit is always so strong with him but it's hard for him to come to church cause that's his day off. But he said that he wants to work towards baptism!! He also told us this past week that he loves it when us missionaries come because all he feels in peace in our presence and that we just bring him back down to earth. So everyone please pray for Him to come to church!
....And Thanksgiving! We first had 'Friendsgiving' with our YSA ward!
Then on Thanksgiving, We had two meals. The first meal was with the Skidmores, members with our family ward who have the cutest kids! They are my absolute favorite family.
And another was with a Tongan family in our family ward as well! We felt so bad though cause we were stuffed and took a lot of it home!
Fun facts about this week:
- It was my cute Mommas birthday yesterday!!
- MY FAVORITE DOG (my sister Jenna's dog Rosie) HAD PUPPIES THIS WEEK!!!
- I am a baby with this cold weather and its freezing! Aka its 55⁰ at the lowest:/
