Week 1: Setting Apart and Home MTC!

I. LOVE. BEING. A. MISSIONARY. This week has been so crazy but so good.

Here's a picture just after I was set apart and became Sister Brady!

In Home MTC I have two 3 hour classes and then a couple devotional classes throughout the day and although I don’t really enjoy looking at a screen all day, the messages that I have received are amazing. My district is AWESOME. My comp, Sister Heiner, is from Idaho and she is my absolute favorite! We have connected so well and same with my whole district!

I went into home MTC with kinda a bad attitude ready to not like it because so many of my friends that have gone on missions both this year and last year told me how boring it is and how I just have to push through it and I just knew I wasn’t going to like it but I was so wrong. There have been countless times where the spirit has been so strong and powerful and I know God put me in this district for a reason.

The other night we had a lesson about families and family history and it got so many people crying. I had many missionaries in my district reach out to me after our meeting and thank me for sharing or just told me they loved me. They have truly changed my life even in 6 days! Like what?! Almost every night we’ve had someone reach out in our group chat and just thank us for our meetings. My teachers, Sister Haws and Brother Stradling, have helped us to be able to feel the spirit so strong and feel the love for our Savior. Sister Haws served in San Antonio Texas and Brother Stradling actually got back from my mission in Riverside a few months ago which is crazy!

I didn’t think I’d be writing an email this early into my mission but just know that God truly loves and cares for you. In the moment it may not feel like He is there but if you look for Him and ask for Him, He will guide you. It may not be immediate but He will find a way. Love you all and hope you have the best week! I invite you all to pray and ask. They come hand in hand. It takes faith to ask!! See y’all in the MTC!
